Recap 2015 Day 8!
Hello Folks, continuing out chat today on Instagram photos. Today I want to talk about something that I've become aware of about certain photos and their popularity on Instagram , but its not a factor I've ever read about or heard being discussed on any of the forums re Instagram or any of the Social Media platforms. MOOD! Or Emotion portrayed by the photo.
Go into your Instagram feed on any given day and you'll flick down through it at an almighty speed but then suddenly you'll STOP!....................... WHY?
Suddenly a photo will catch your eye , will speak to you, will stand out, will maybe shock you, you may dislike it, you may love it but it will tear a reaction from you and you won't be able to ignore it.
These kind of photos are very powerful ones. The most common of these are "cute" baby , animal or cartoon type photos. The "Powerful" photos are usually photographers skyline/scape shots. These photos especially if they are all original work do very well on Instagram. Any photo (assuming its original) that provokes thought or immediately there's an emotional response is usually a popular one.
Fashion bloggers can hughly benefit from the occasional "Emotional" shot thrown into the mix . For example on my own page I smile/laugh a lot and I find the smiley photos do much better sometimes even more than merits the particular outfit.
So in my humble opinion if your normal stance is to perhaps pout (very popular I know) or have no expression at all , or maybe you don't show your face much it may be time to vary it up a bit with a cute grin, a cheeky wink etc...................... Who knows how successful it could be.
